From the Newsroom
The countdown is on. We are only six weeks away from our District Convention in Houston where we will highlight the 100th Anniversary of the Texas District.
You, the members of our churches are the Texas District. Your church's history is the history of the Texas District. For several months we have urged, encouraged and pleaded with congregations to submit a brief history of their congregation with pictures. In order for us to put them on our website, they MUST BE EMAILED to us. The pictures should be emailed in jpeg format.
Please understand that we do not have the staff to retype printed pages sent to us. We do not have the staff to edit a 10, 20 or 30 page anniversary book. If you have previously sent material in that format, we humbly ask that you resend it in the requested format. If you don't have the capability to email, would you consider going to a neighboring church to see if they could assist you?
There are many congregations that haven't sent the history of their church as of this writing. My encouragement is that you take a moment to do that today. Please email the materials to Tim Ristow at firstname.lastname@example.org or David Goeke at email@example.com.
As we have mentioned in previous updates, if your congregation or school has an historic artifact that you would be willing to share for display at the Convention, please contact Dave Goeke at firstname.lastname@example.org or call him at 210-690-3135.
As always, ideas, suggestions, or information I should have can be sent to me at email@example.com. You may also call me at 325-784-7870.
May you find much joy, peace and hope that comes from knowing Jesus as our Savior and our Lord.John Goeke
